I've spent my whole life in Texas and came out here for my Psychiatry residency training. In the process, I fell in love with California. My practice style emphasizes ethical and evidence based practices, understanding my patients, and strongly incorporating my patient's values and goals in their own care. I think it's important to have the humility to know what we don't know and to always continue striving to grow, especially since our work can impact others in profound ways.
It's been a genuine privilege to walk with others during their most challenging times. As your psychiatrist, you can count on me to practice honestly and with your best intentions in mind, always.

Dr. Benjamin Chang is an adult psychiatrist who completed his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas A&M University and his medical degree from Texas Tech Paul L. Foster School of Medicine. Arriving in California, he went on to complete his general psychiatry residency at Kaiser Permanente. Dr. Chang is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the Southern California Psychiatric Society. His cultural background as a Taiwanese-American allows him to uniquely understand the immigrant and minority experiences of others. Outside of work, Dr. Chang enjoys film, musicals, and spending quality time with friends and family.
