Oak Health Center Welcomes Dr. Racha Chamlati, MD, to Fullerton Office

Fullerton, CA – November 15, 2024 – Oak Health Center, a leading provider of comprehensive mental health outpatient care in Southern California, is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Racha Chamlati, MD, to its team of dedicated professionals.

Dr. Chamlati’s journey in psychiatry began with her residency at St. Elizabeth’s in Boston, Massachusetts, where she also served as chief resident. Driven by her commitment to enhancing the well-being of young minds, she pursued further specialization at the University of California, Irvine.

Growing up in a large and close-knit extended family, Dr. Chamlati often served as a confidante to her younger cousins and friends. By fostering a safe, supportive, judgment-free, and playful environment, she helped them navigate life’s challenges, nurturing resilience along the way. This experience sparked her passion for mental health, driving her toward a career committed to assisting others on their path to wellness.

“Helping youth rediscover the joys and wonders of childhood, as they regain their curiosity, creativity, and sense of trust, is truly heartwarming and inspiring,” says Dr. Chamlati. “You also learn a great deal from them, further enriching this experience!”

With her diverse cultural background, Dr. Chamlati deeply connects with her patients, fostering trust, empathy, and understanding. She advocates for a team-based approach, collaborating with her patients’ pediatricians, therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic and beneficial experience.

Outside of work, Dr. Chamlati enjoys traveling, baking, Peloton, and immersing herself in the vibrant world of Broadway shows.
