Artful Healing – Therapy Processing Group on May 7th
At Oak Health Center, we take a lot of pride in having well-rounded clinicians who collaborate both internally and externally with many professionals in the behavioral health field. We are excited to share that one of our therapists; Savanna Curdo, LMFT; in her role with Newport Mesa Individual Family Therapy will be launching an 8-week therapy processing group in May 2025. Please read the announcement below for more information:
Join us in this support group where we come together to share our experiences and emotions without fear of judgment. Whether you want to open up and talk or simply listen, this safe space is here for you. As we engage with clay, we’ll not only process our feelings but also stimulate our senses. You have the freedom to create pottery pieces that you can take home or leave as they are – it’s entirely up to you. This clay is yours to mold and shape in a way that feels most authentic to you.
In this group, we not only aim to provide a supportive space for processing and discussing your experiences but also encourage you to engage in creative expression.
Through the therapeutic activity of working with clay, we can explore and channel our emotions in a tangible and creative way. This can help us further understand ourselves, our struggles, and our journey as we navigate being queer and all that it encompasses.
Group will be held on Wednesday nights May 7th-June 25th From 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The group will be in person at the address listed on the flyer and it will be $80 a session for 8 weeks. This group is for adults of all identities. A free consultation will be conducted with the client prior to starting the group.
If you are interested in joining the group please contact Savannah Curdo at (714) 732-1412.
