Oak Health Center Welcomes Charles Daulo, AMFT, to Beverly Hills Therapy Team
Charles earned his Master of Science degree in Counseling from California State University, Los Angeles. Prior to this, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Filipino Studies from the University of San Francisco while working as a chef and case manager at a nonprofit organization. This unique combination of culinary arts and social justice work has deepened his understanding of the connections between food, community, and self. It inspires Charles to integrate daily activities into therapy, aiding clients in articulating and understanding complex emotions.
“I grew up in a family and culture where speaking about one’s emotions and mental health was discouraged,” says Charles. “However, I learned the intricacies of empathy through processing my own struggles with the help of support systems along my journey. The best part about my job is witnessing the moments when my clients find connections, understanding, and the confidence to find the healing they always had.”
Charles is certified in evidence-based modalities including Seeking Safety, Managing and Adapting Practices, and Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths. He is committed to providing a safe space for clients to explore their feelings and emotions, addressing the core of their struggles.
