This will depend on what type of appointment you have scheduled and with which provider you have scheduled with. Typically, an initial appointment with a therapist will be between 45 to 50 minutes. An initial child appointment with a psychiatrist/nurse practitioner will be between 60 to 75 minutes long, while an initial adult appointment with a psychiatrist/nurse practitioner will be between 45 to 50 minutes long. All medication follow-up appointments are between 20 to 30 minutes long, unless otherwise scheduled by your provider.
Yes, by default, an email and text reminder for your appointment is sent 4 days prior and 1 day before your appointment.
Yes, after you have successfully scheduled your initial appointment with one of our Patient Care Coordinators, you will receive an emailed invitation to complete our new patient intake forms through our Online Patient Portal. The link to connect via telehealth will be sent in a separate email the day before your initial appointment.
Please note, the link used for the initial appointment will be the same link used for any subsequent follow-up appointments. It is highly recommended to save or bookmark this link for easier access for future appointments.
Our Patient Care Coordinators do their best to find you the soonest available appointment according to the type and length of your appointment. Should you desire a sooner appointment, you are welcome to request to be placed on our cancellation list to be contacted for any sooner openings that may come up due to others' cancellations or reschedules.
OHC accepts most commercial Anthem Blue Cross, Optum, and Aetna plans. Please note, we are not in-network with any supplementary Medicare plans or Blue Shield of CA. We are happy to provide superbills for any other commercial insurance plans that we are not directly contracted with.

Any billing related records, receipts, or balances are available through the portal, along with past visit summaries and forms your provider requests for you to sign.
