Behavior Therapy Program

Applied Behavioral Analysis

Supporting Positive Change Through Behavior Analysis

Behavioral challenges—whether in children, teens, or adults—can significantly impact learning, relationships, and everyday life. At Oak Health Center, our Behavior Therapy Program is rooted in evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), a proven approach that helps us identify the underlying causes of behavior and guide families in building practical, adaptive skills. Drawing on years of experiential success, we provide tailored coaching that empowers individuals and caregivers alike. Our team approaches each case through a neurodiversity-affirming and trauma-informed lens, honoring each person’s unique strengths and identity while collaboratively supporting meaningful, lasting behavioral growth.

FAQs

For Parents & Caregivers

Behavior therapy at Oak Health Center focuses on understanding why behaviors occur and teaching practical skills to support emotional regulation, communication, coping, and flexibility. Rather than simply managing behaviors, we work to address underlying needs and help children and teens develop skills that support long-term growth at home, school, and in the community.
No. While we do support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), our program also serves children and teens with ADHD, anxiety, emotional regulation challenges, social difficulties, and other behavioral or developmental concerns. A formal diagnosis is not always required.
Our services are led directly by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) rather than delivered through multiple rotating providers. This model reduces turnover, increases consistency, and ensures that assessment, intervention, and parent training are all guided by the same clinical expert. We also integrate ACT-informed strategies and family-centered care.
Yes. Parent and family involvement is a core part of our program. Caregivers receive structured training and coaching to help them understand behavior, respond effectively, and support progress outside of sessions.
Services may take place in the clinic, home, community, or school settings depending on clinical need and treatment goals.
